Why does my pool keep going green even when I add chlorine?

A pool can still turn green if chlorine is being consumed too quickly or isn’t working efficiently. This can happen due to high sunlight exposure, poor circulation, incorrect balance, high phosphate levels, or an algae bloom that requires shock treatment to fully remove.
