Yes. Tank Pools are classified as swimming pools and are generally subject to local council and pool safety regulations.

Are Tank Pools a good alternative to plunge pools?

Yes. Tank Pools are an excellent alternative to traditional plunge pools, particularly for smaller backyards or properties with limited access. They offer the same refreshing, compact swimming experience while featuring a distinctive corrugated steel design, fast installation and flexible installation options for a wide range of sites.

What sizes are Tank Pools available in?

Tank Pools are available in six sizes, with heights of 1.22m or 1.52m and diameters of 2.4m, 2.8m or 3.2m, making them suitable for a variety of backyard sizes.

Can Tank Pools be installed on sloping blocks?

Yes. Tank Pools can be installed fully above ground, partially inground or fully inground, making them ideal for sloping blocks and sites with difficult access.

Can Tank Pools be heated?

Yes. Tank Pools can be heated for year-round enjoyment, with achievable temperatures depending on the heating system, weather conditions and pool cover used.

Can the pool be used with a mineral or magnesium system?

Yes. Tank Pools are compatible with mineral and magnesium water systems, providing a softer and more enjoyable swimming experience.

What site preparation is required?

Tank Pools are engineered to sit on a compacted road base. However, for long-term performance and longevity, a concrete base is generally recommended. All foundation requirements are subject to site-specific conditions and geotechnical report.

Can shell upgrades be added after installation?

No. Shell upgrades, such as LED lighting and spa jets, need to be specified before installation as they are fitted either during manufacturing or on the day of installation.

How easy is a Tank Pool to maintain?

Tank Pools are designed to be low maintenance, with a smooth Aqualux vinyl liner that is easy to clean and helps reduce algae build-up.

How quickly can a Tank Pool be installed?
In many cases, a Tank Pool can be installed in as little as four hours, allowing you to enjoy your new backyard sooner than with many traditional pool installations.

How much access is required to install a Tank Pool?

Typically, around 150–200mm of clearance is required around the pool during installation to allow for plumbing connections and pipework to be fitted and glued into place.

How far can filtration equipment be located from the pool?

Filtration equipment can be positioned away from the pool, helping maintain a clean and uncluttered backyard design. For ease of installation, it is recommended that equipment is placed close to a power source.

Can a deck be added around a Tank Pool?

Absolutely. Tank Pools work exceptionally well with timber decking, paving, landscaping and outdoor entertaining areas.

How long does it take to install a Tank Pool?

A Tank Pool can typically be installed in as little as four hours once the site has been prepared.

Does the pool liner come pre-installed?

No. While the Aqualux liner is custom manufactured in a factory to suit your Tank Pool, it is installed on site along with the pool fittings as part of the installation process.

Does the pool shell need to be bonded or earthed?

Yes. As with any conductive pool structure, the shell must be bonded in accordance with applicable electrical standards. Bonding should be completed by a licensed electrician as part of the installation process.
